Serving Knowledge, the dynamic monthly supper club created in partnership with Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation, is going virtual. Join us on July 7 as we host a panel of experts from UHN’s Centre for Mental Health, for a discussion on the impact of COVID-19 on our mental health, as well as innovative treatments being developed at Toronto General and Toronto Western hospitals for those struggling with their mental health.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected our community in a variety of ways, and many of us are experiencing higher levels of stress and anxiety due to these unprecedented circumstances. UHN's Centre for Mental Health plays a critical role in the continuum of care for those struggling with their mental health: our team of specialists are developing trailblazing treatments from psychedelic medicine, psychopharmacological interventions and mindfulness-based therapies. Join us for a panel discussion including the following specialists:

Dr. Roger McIntyre is the Head of the Mood Disorders Psychopharmacology Unit at UHN's Centre for Mental Health, and is a Professor of Psychiatry and Pharmacology at the University of Toronto. His research examines psychedelic medicine and its effects, and aims to characterize the underlying causes of cognitive impairment in individuals with mood disorders and their impact on workplace functioning, which has led to various types of targeted treatments for his patients.

Jenna McLeod is the Team Lead of the Poul Hansen Family Centre for Depression at UHN's Centre for Mental Health, where she supports a large team of specialists, in applying a holistic approach to patient-centred care. Her clinical work focuses on individual and group therapy, providing family support, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) for repeated bouts of depression.

Dr. Joshua Rosenblat is a Staff Psychiatrist and Clinician-Scientist at the Mood Disorders Psychopharmacology Unit at UHN's Centre for Mental Health, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. He provides care for treatment-resistant patients with unipolar and bipolar depression, and is conducting clinical trials to identify and evaluate novel psychopharmacological interventions for anxiety and mood disorders with the overall goal of improving patients' quality of life.
